Connaught Mid-Amateur Championship



KKGD Ltd. were proud sponsors of the Connaught Mid-Amateur Championship held last weekend at Claremorris G.C..
Congratulations to Alan Condren from Greystones G.C. who eagled the final hole to win by a shot from Galway's Eddie McCormack.
The course was in superb condition and thanks to at Claremorris G.C. for their help during the weekend. Thanks also to all the competitors who made this a great Championship and we look forward to seeing you again next year.

Rathbane Golf Club


The public golf course at Rathbane, Limerick is due to get a remodel shortly, 18 new USGA Specification tees will be constructed, 25 new bunkers will be built, a new irrigation system is due to be installed and a new 9th hole (par 3) will be built with a challenging water feature.

Tenders are being sent out to a number of contractors at the moment and once the contractor has been decided upon it is expected that works will commence soon afterwards. This is a very exciting project to be a part of and we look forward to a new and improved Rathbane Course in the near future.

Mountbellew Golf Club - New 9 opening soon



Mountbellew Golf Club will soon be opening their new 9 holes - late October or early November should see the first ball struck on the new 9. The course is looking fantastic and we at KKGD are very proud to be associated with such fine work. We wish the club all the very best for the future and hope that the Members and Visitors will enjoy many a round there !

New Tee Completed at Foxrock G.C.


Our photo show the newly completed tee at Foxrock G.C., with wetlands to the front right. The club has a great awareness of environmental issues and the new wetland will tie into the wetland further to the front of the tees and adds a nice aesthetic feature to the tee complex. The works were completed in 1 no. week and the club are delighted with the work ........ which is our ultimate goal !

Grange G.C. - Works to start on remodel of 2no.holes

Works to the remodel of 2 no. holes will commence mid-September, this work will involve a remodel of the greens and fairway bunkers.

Grange G.C. is one of a handful of James Braid designed courses in Ireland and we at KKGD endeavour to incorporate the Braid design philosophy in our work at Grange and to bring in into the modern golfing era.

Foxrock G.C.

Works at Foxrock G.C. have just begun on new tee complexes at the 3rd hole. We are delighted to be associated with Foxrock G.C. and members can look forward to the highest specification tees at this hole in the near future.

Audit at Bandon G.C.

We are delighted to advise that KKGD has just competed a Golf Course Audit for Bandon G.C..
The audit is a comprehensive document that takes an overall look at the course and points the way forward for the future. A number of proposals have been offered to the club and we look forward to implementing them in the future.
